I would not be able to sleep at night if I had left Rusty to be shot by some stupid ass "rancher" in the Hill Country. However, Zoe is not quite as ruthless as Bella.... I think she can adjust. It won't be easy (read: I feel like I have a newborn with the amount of times I am woken up by wining from Rusty and have to get up at the butt crack of dawn on my vacation to let him out and clean up vomit) but I think so far it's been worth it. Now I must go to clean up the thick layer of slobber that has settled over my home...and my heart. Safe travels! First of all, we've all be...Do not panic Abby!

First of all, we've all been there. I sometimes pretend like I don't see the various stray this or stray that. I carry around dog food and cat food in my car....I get it.

I really don't have a strong opinion either way, ultimately you are going to have to decide that but I do have a couple of thingss to share =)

Make sure its safe for your animals at home first unless you are willing to go to great lengths to keep them seperated for the time being

Make sure you are ready to spend the time and money to go to a trainer/behaviorist for help getting Tica acclimated to a very new way of life if she doesn't take to it right away.

Know that it does NOT make you a bad person nor should you feel guilty at all about leaving Tica behind if you have to. Go get her spayed and you will have done a huge favor for her.

On the flip side if you think you can manage the rest, go for it! You have a wonderful heart!

Don't worry JS will deal if you do decide to take her. They knew what they were getting themselves into when they signed up to deal with us ;0)Rachel Lovettnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3697320585728272191.post-14594967688811234472011-08-26T09:02:54.081-05:002011-08-26T09:02:54.081-05:00* your relationship to your fiance is more importa...* your relationship to your fiance is more important than any dog, is it really at risk?;
* will Tica like the cold winters and hellish summers of TX?
* will Tica like to give up her freedom of the streets to be a house dog? some are just wired for their freedom, I know it goes more for cats, but some dogs are too.
Ultimately this is your decision sweet cousin. Which ever you pit do not ever look back, just live with it and make it the best.
I love you and wish you the best
MABAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
